Attend a basic-level workshop, Bird Identification for Beginners organised by BNHS and conducted by Nilkhil Bhopale, co-author of Birds of the Indian Subcontinent- A Field Guide. In this two-day workshop, participants will get an opportunity to learn field techniques like bird call recognition, bird behaviour and habitat preferences from the expert. Participants will be trained to use spotting scopes and how to choose and use a proper pair of binoculars for birdwatching. The workshop includes a field trip to the Karnala Bird Sanctuary. l SPIRITUALITY
Attend a beginner's session on Three-Step Rhythmic Breathing (3SRB), an ancient technique of breathing which calms the mind and brings total physical, emotional and mental health to the body-brain system. This technique has been derived from the Yogasutra of Sage Patanjali and was passed down in the guru-shishya parampara until SN Tavaria, a rishi of our modern age began teaching the technique in public in the ’80s. l SCHOLARSHIP
India First Foundation School-Karjat, a premium residential school affiliated to the ICSE board, has launched its "scholarship test" online on www.iffschool.in, which will give students an opportunity to avail of up to 100% scholarship. The test will evaluate students on their abilities and skills in subjects like Math, English and Science. The top 100 students who perform in the online test shall then be invited for a final evaluation at the school, following which deserving candidates will be offered a scholarship of up to 100%.
