Chaturprahar, an experience of dusk to dawn ragas: The relationship of ragas with diurnal time-cycles is an interesting feature, unique perhaps only to Hindustani music. It is believed that a raga is more effective when performed at the designated time of day/night. Presented by three vocalists over two sessions, this programme will showcase ragas appropriate to time zones (prahars) from sunset to sunrise.
